Partners in Production Cost-Sharing Program Supported by Greenbelt Fund

The Greenbelt Farmers’ Market Network (GBFMN) is now accepting applications from farmers in and around Ontario’s Greenbelt for the 2017 Partners in Production Program. The Program provides funding for farmers to invest in equipment to bring new or improved products to market.

ONTARIO GOVERNMENT HELPING GET MORE LOCAL FOOD ON ONTARIAN’S PLATES
New funding supports Local Food Investment Fund project in Northumberland County

Colborne – To cap off Ontario Agriculture Week celebrations, Lou Rinaldi, MPP for Northumberland—Quinte West announced that the Ontario government is providing the Ontario Agri-Food Venture Centre (OAFVC) with $32,400 in funding through the Local Food Investment Fund.

BACKGROUNDER: Local Food Investment Fund Round 4 Recipients

The Government of Ontario is investing nearly $500,000 in 19 innovative projects that will help bring more local food to Ontario plates across the province. With $4.2 million in support from the Ontario Government, the Greenbelt Fund has supported 96 projects across Ontario since 2015.
