Michael Young, Communications CoordinatorGreenbelt Fund

Michael Young joined The Greenbelt Fund in August of 2018 as Program Coordinator for Ontariofresh.ca. A writer and actor by training with a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Michael brings unique and varied experience to the team. With a background in sales and professional writing, Michael has developed skills and expertise in the areas of educational travel, international conservation and research, print and digital media, and screenwriting. When he’s not in the office or writing, Michael runs an after-school program in Toronto’s West End.

Michael is excited to bring his energy to Ontariofresh.ca! When he thinks of the Greenbelt, he recalls feeling a world away in Bruce Peninsula National Park, and the trip through swaths of verdant forest and interspersing fields of grain, beyond towering windmills and bustling towns to get there.
