Beth Hunter is Program Director at the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation where she leads the Sustainable Food Systems initiative and the Nourish program on the future of food in health care. She is a co-founder of Equiterre, one of Canada's leading environmental organizations, and previously led Greenpeace Canada's Oceans campaign on sustainable seafood. She sits on the boards of the Academy for Systems Change and the Maple Leaf Centre for Action on Food Security. Her masters in rural economics from Laval University examined the role of dietary diversity in food security. She lives in Montreal with her partner and two kids.
