Grant Funding Update
The OMAFRA-funded Local Food Investment Fund and funding for associated programmatic activities such as workshops, webinars and events have been spent, with funds expiring as of March 2019. Since 2010, the Fund has generated a 19-1 return on investments with a $262 million increase in local food sales.
The Greenbelt Fund is working with a cross-section of agri-food stakeholders to secure additional funding so that we may continue to support farmers, food entrepreneurs, food processors, food hubs and distributors to grow the sector.
